Its’ powerful, reinforcing messages significantly increase creativity and achievement of personal goals, and instills values that contribute to healthy lifestyles.
THE "I'M A PERSON" SONG
The heartbeat of this project, the "I'm A Person" song, has earned national acclaim. Classrooms and homes are being energized with these positive lyrics and music. Children love the melody and words and sing it over and over... The song, "I'm A Person," has touched the hearts and souls of thousands of children and adults of all ages. Singing the words "I'm A Person" and affirming "I'm an ever-loving, thinking, feeling, peaceful-going, real live person" conveys an essential ingredient to achieving one's fullest potential.
The "I'm A Person" Self-esteem Mini-kit was created as a response to the overwhelming interest expressed by parents, teachers and schools, as they personally experienced the benefits of working with the song. This resource and innovative project is currently being used in collaboration with School- based Programs, Parent Engagement Programs, Child-Care Centers, Community Centers and Non-Profit Organizations. Training programs and workshops are available for community leaders and program coordinators.
